Purchase Factory-Reconditioned Breville XXJE95XL Two Speed Juice Fountain Plus

Over All Rating Reviews :
Although I do have a lot of kitchen appliances I use on a regular basis I don't have a lot of experience with juicers so I wasn't sure what to expect. I looked into the Jack Lalanne juicers and thanks to Amazon's incredibly helpful review system, found that they are not all that well reviewed. This juice had the review profile I was looking for, high on the top tapering to low on the bottom.

My refurbished juicer came well-packaged and if it was ever used I would not have known it. It was completely clean. I was immediately impressed with the quality of the parts. The juicer just feels solid unlike other cheaply made appliances out there. There are some great design features I appreciate like a plug with a built-in finger hold for pulling it out of the socket, a juice collection container with a lid that keeps juice from splattering and a removable piece that keeps the foam out of your poured glass of juice. All of it is easy to clean. I haven't timed myself but I'm guessing it takes less than two minutes to clean. The plastic pieces come apart easily and rinse off quickly. The mesh metal screen is the most difficult part to clean but even that only takes a bit of scrubbing with the included brush. The only time I've had a problem with juice leaking is when I don't have the juice container nestled up against the juicer like it should be.

I've juiced apples, citrus, celery, romaine lettuce, spinach, kale, collard greens, carrots, parsley, ginger, beets, pears and probably something I've forgotten right now. I think it does well with all of them. The amount of pulp left over seems amazingly minuscule to the amount of fruits and veggies I put in. Most of the pulp is quit dry with the exception of citrus pulp. The amount of juice seems to correlate with the moisture content in the fruit/veggie: less juice from greens, (although spinach/romaine lettuce do quite well) more from citrus, apples and pears and others somewhere in between. However, I do feel I get adequate juice from the greens because if they are in my juice mix the entire juice is deep green. My recommendation is to mix high moisture and low moisture fruits and veggies for juice anyway. I did have some problems with blueberries and I'm suspecting due to the nature of the centrifugal juicer I always will. Then tend to spin up and out into the pulp chute before they are juiced. There are other small fruits I'd like to juice so I'm trying to figure out a way around that.

Overall, I'm extremely pleased with this juicer for the price. It was well worth it. I have recently been diagnosed with gastroparesis, (paralysis of the stomach) so have been advised to eat a diet low in fiber,(few raw fruits/veggies and/or whole grains). This juicer has allowed me to get in all of the fruits and veggies I would like to eat and more in a way that my stomach can tolerate. I can juice things that I haven't been able to eat in years and have no problem consuming them. This thing is my new best friend. There are more expensive juicers out there that would probably be even better but like I said, for the price, this one is great. I'm impressed with Breville and when its time to buy another, I'll be looking at them again.
