Love this juicer! I've owned other juicers and stopped using them because we have such an "on the go" existence that I simply did not have time to deal with cleaning them (could say too lazy to clean them but after using this one, it's such a breeze that laziness doesn't enter the equation). For health reasons, my hubby wanted to buy the Health Master he saw on TV, but thanks to reviews on Amazon, I decided against buying that machine and bought the Breville BJE200XL instead...I am so glad I did! It is very well designed and comes with a combo brush/spatula which is perfect to clean out the pulp and the screen...everything else just rinses clean. It's definitely well designed - for example, the reviews for the the Health Master talked about rusting problems, on the Breville, it has nice quality rubber ring which doesn't appear as if it could rust as the described on the Health Master reviews. Last but not least, value - definitely a good buy for under $100 compared to other models that cost more. The basic recipes in the instruction booklet are tasty, fast and easy to prepare..plus there are plenty of great juicing books cheap on Amazon to add more variety and health oriented information. From the first day, we noticed more energy and slept better that night (didn't expect it but it was a really, really nice benefit!). When we slack for a day, we feel it...now hubby's asking for juice all the time...even while typing this review, he's been bugging me for a juice for the evening...clearly my next task is to show him how the simple on/off button works and how to turn the faucet on to rinse it out afterward! ;-) I highly recommend this purchase.

I just received my Breville juicer. Assembly was easy and I pushed a few carrots and peeled oranges through it. Those fruits and vegetables just seem to explode in there. My daughter calls it the detonator. The motor winds up and down like a jet engine turbine and, while it isn't quiet, my dishwasher makes more noise over a longer period of time. The juice was delicious, by the way. I am used to store bought juices and what really struck me was the greenness of the flavor. It wasn't unpleasant. I thought to myself, this is what juice should taste like. The texture was frothy - what I expected when the produce is blasted like that. Reminded me of an orange julius. I look forward to tomorrow. I have a seedless watermelon, some beautiful gala apples, and baby spinach to juice. Cleanup was not easy. The pulp glues itself pretty fast to the pulp container, so I suggest rinsing it out swiftly. There's a lot of pulp too. Somebody should write a cookbook for pulp from juicers. The manual that comes with the juicer has a few recipes that look promising. So, my initial impressions of this juicer are that it appears fairly well made, it is not an ugly appliance on the counter, it's not too loud, and it makes tasty juice. We'll see how it holds up to sustained use.
