Being an owner of high RPM juicers makes this a pleasant experience.
Well built, quit, very quick and quite a feat of engineering. It leaves a lot more pulp in the juice even with the fine screen. For me, this is ok with some juices (fruit) but others I hate it, especially carrot juice. So I just run it through a fine screen filter.

I just got this as a wedding shower gift, and I love it! It's easy to use, and the clean up is not nearly as bad as I was expecting. The filter is a little hard to clean, but I've been soaking it in hot soapy water for 20 to 30 minutes and then cleaning it with a toothbrush and it has worked great.

My fiancé isn't thrilled with the cost involved with juicing, but it's worth the trade-off. With this juicer, you can make 1 small glass of apple juice with 2 large apples. That's really not unreasonable.

At first I regretted my decision because it was between this juicer and the so popular Breville. However, after a couple of uses with various fruits and produce, I was happy. Other reviews I read comment on how slow the machine is...well that's because it's taken it's time to get all of the juice out. The easy cleanup makes up for the speed, which is not that slow. Another thing I realize is that the juicer is very portable, and it can go on road trips. The last convincing test was when I juiced berries in a fast juicer and it strewed the berries everywhere-inside the cutting basket and on the inside container. I juiced the same type of berries in the Omega and the pulp came out dry and the cleanup was SO easy. I do not regret my decision at all. This juicer is efficient, portable, and respects fruits and veggies. Stop living life in the fast lane, slow down to reap all of its benefits...one will receive two rewards great juice and eatable pulp.

I bought a Breville centrifugal juicer couple of months ago, At first I was excited...my first juicer, made decent amount of juice...but then I started to realize it wasted product so much...pulp was not very dry, greens don't juice at all, 60% of the time you would see vegetables or fruit slices in the pulp....

I ignored it first but then I became a serious juicer and not being able to juice greens bothered me, so I sold it off for half the price(I used it for 2 months...)and got my Omega 8005...I love it....pulp is very dry.

My only complaint is I dint have to cut nothing in Breville, for Omega you have to cut veggies and fruits up, Guess I will get used to that.....Another cosmetic issue I have is I donot like the plastic bins that come with it.....for a 260$ juicer they could have done a better job......

If you are serious about juicing..this is it.....LOVE IT

Tips...
1)Add honey and lemon if you want to sweeten vegetable juice...it tastes great...
2)Add an apple or some grapes to vegetable juices to make them more palatable...

I read all the positive reviews and bought this juicer.....What a mistake. I have been juicing for years every morning and this one stopped working after 4 weeks, after 20 juicing sessions of 2 glasses each. It started jamming after the first week, then started jumping around on the counter, and eventually stopped working.

it works with out a problem. Clean up takes some getting used to but it only takes a couple of minutes if you do it right after you are done juicing. Its 2-speed so works great with both hard and soft vegetables and fruits. It has a huge mouth so I never have to cut my carrots or small apples. I think its worth the money.

There are several things that set it apart besides the power and design, which allows perfectly smooth smoothies, sauces and soups if you want them that way. I reviewed a previous model that is no longer available and notice there's a new model out that doesn't have the middle knob. While you'd still get the easy cleanup, power and reliability of the Vita-Mix, that knob (which is on this model) is something I really value because it allows you to change the speed by infinite degrees during processing.

I find this particularly important when processing hot liquids as you can get a wet 'explosion' if you try to start a blending process too fast, which causes the heat to suddenly expand the contents. I did this once with my small personal blender--bad idea. With this Vita-mix model, you can start at a very low speed and turn the speed up gradually to high. Starting at a slow speed also gets larger items broken up so a good flow can be established to the blending process sooner. I've found the speed control greatly enhances the ability to get the results I want, including dicing small quantities instead of pureeing them, if needed.

We saw a bartender using a juice press like this one, so we searched around until we found it. The juice press we had been using had a colored coating which started to flake off after being washed numerous times in the dishwasher. If it can't be washed in the dishwasher, I don't want it, so this stainless steel device is great.

This one is so easy to clean, and it's great to use. The only reservation I have is for someone with small hands; it might be too big to use easily, but then, it has to accommodate large lemon halves.
